Cushioned contact.
Less sink underfoot.

Fusion combines two cushioning technologies for a firmer, more substantial feel than Embrace. There is give beneath your weight, with less easy sinking and a low-bounce response.

Comfort with more substance.

A conforming surface and a more resistant response work together, cushioning contact without the deep softness of Plush.

Settle onto a firmer feel.

Less easy compression than Embrace and low rebound suit people who prefer a more settled sensation while standing and moving between tasks.

Recovery without the bounce.

Low rebound still allows the material to recover. Its open-cell cushioning resists lasting compression, helping maintain cushioning through repeated wear.

CUSHION. CONTOUR. SUPPORT.

The feeling above.
The foundation below.

Your cushion and your support have different jobs. Fusion brings them together, from the contact beneath your foot to the shape beneath your arch.

Fusion’s three layers at the heel Catalog heel view. One points to the cushioning, two to the intermediate EVA comfort layer, and three to the stability frame. Both the turquoise and blue layers belong to the cushioning system. The black strip below them is the EVA comfort layer. The heel is thicker than the one-millimeter forefoot EVA specification. 123

  1. Firmer-feel cushioning

    Approx. 0.16 in (4 mm)

The two-color cushioning system gives beneath your weight with a more substantial feel than Embrace. You get cushioned contact without the same easy sink, and a calmer response than Plush.

  2. Contoured comfort layer

Slim at the forefoot. Fuller at the heel.

A shaped intermediate layer that follows the insole’s profile, between the cushioning and the supporting frame.

    Thickness details

EVA is approximately 0.04 in (1 mm) at the forefoot, with a thicker heel section. These layer measurements are not the full insole height.

  3. Stability frame

Raised arch support · Deep heel cup

A firm foundation beneath the comfort layers supports your arch and cradles your heel. The cushioning above softens your contact with that support.

    Frame material

Molded TPU forms the support frame. The new frame connects through the center; this catalog photo shows the previous construction.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Firm doesn’t have
to mean hard.

The questions that matter when you’re choosing a different feeling for your feet.

Will Fusion feel hard under my feet?

Fusion is firmer than Embrace, but your foot still meets a cushioning layer—approximately 0.16 in (4 mm)—above the shaped base. Expect a substantial, cushioned feel, not the deep softness of Plush. If very soft is what you love, start with that comparison.

Compare the feels
Does less bounce mean less cushioning?

No. Cushioning is how the material gives beneath your weight; rebound is how it responds when that pressure lifts. Fusion is selected for cushioning with a low-bounce response. It can feel cushioned without the springiness of Bouncy or Plush.

Why choose Fusion over Embrace?

Choose Fusion if Embrace’s more yielding feel sounds too soft for you. Both sit in the low-rebound part of the collection. Fusion’s distinction is its firmer, more substantial cushioning—not a claim that its shared arch support is stronger.

Will the arch feel like it’s pushing into my foot?

You may notice the raised arch, especially if your current insole is flat. The cushion covers the supporting structure, but fit still matters: the arch should meet your foot comfortably, without a sharp or persistent pressure point. Do not force a fit that hurts.

Will Fusion flatten or stay compressed?

The cushioning is selected for shape recovery. Low rebound does not mean slow memory-foam recovery or a permanent impression. Like any insole, it wears with use; lasting flattening, damage or a changed feel are reasons to check whether it needs replacing.

Can I use Fusion in my work shoes?

Start with shoes that have removable insoles and room for your foot. Compare the original insole’s outline, replace it rather than stacking, and check toe room and heel seating. A work-shoe label alone does not confirm fit, especially in close-fitting or protective footwear.

What if the firmer feel isn’t for me?
